If you haven’t heard the buzz around Edison, Honda is partaking in the electric vehicle / hybrid revolution by igniting the slow transition to fully electric. Four out of six of the new Honda Accord trims will be hybrid for the first time ever: the Sport, the EX-L, Sport-L, and the Touring. The hybrid trims will come with an all-new hybrid drivetrain with two electric motors paired with a 2.0L Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine, generating up to 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. The LX and EX trims will remain as non-hybrid vehicles and will feature a 192-horsepower 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with the ability to produce 192 lb-ft of torque. Like last year’s model, the 2023 Honda Accord will still have front-wheel drive.
